The World Surf League is hosting a Championship Tour event in New Zealand for just the second time (the women competed at Taranaki in the early 2010s). The League added a much-needed left with the country’s most iconic wave at Manu Bay in Raglan on the beautiful North Island.
Raglan comes at a crucial time, too. As the fourth event and final down under, Manu Bay might help solidify the rankings. Will Gabriel Medina and Luana Silva hold on to their yellow jerseys into the middle third of the schedule, or will Gabriel Bryan and George Pittar make a serious run?
Regardless, there are a number of spicy heats to keep track of.
