Arthur Anchinges, better known as “Toots” hails from Waikiki – the Mesopotamia of modern surfing. And if you didn’t know any better, you’d swear the video above comes from the late 50’s/early 60’s. Toots would have you fooled. His style and grace on craft of a longer variety, though, harken back to a simpler time – the canvas boardies too. Toots has the same precision as Phil Edwards. He bows his legs in trim à la Robert August – hot dogging in a way that’s just different than anyone else out there, like he went through a time machine and arrived in 2016 or something.
