Professional surfers have pretty good lives. It’s safe to say that most of them enjoy competing, and it’s even safer to say that most of them love surfing and traveling. Getting paid to do those things wouldn’t be all that bad, would it? But of course, big parts of surf trips don’t involve surfing, and a lot of the time, those moments are just as memorable as the waves.
Nothing builds bonds like traveling, so it’s a sure thing that a lot of professionals are pretty close–sitting through the drudgery of actually getting to where you’re going can be tough, and going through it all with someone else makes it just a little easier. Rip Curl’s short clip about the in between moments of a surf trip is probably similar to some of the trips you and your friends have been on.
