Until J-Bay, the waves at many an event on the World Tour this year have been forgettable. With advertising dollars on the line, poor wave quality resulting in lower entertainment value doesn’t bode well for the WSL. But finally, at the 2017 Corona Open J-Bay, pumping waves offered no shortage of brilliance. When all was said and done competition ended with no less than eight 10-point rides including a perfect heat from Jordy Smith, and Filipe Toledo’s two alley-oops on a single wave. And thanks to YouTuber gredwa, you can watch every perfect wave in a single place.
