Every now and then, if you’re really lucky, a simple surf trip becomes something much larger than a trivial search for a few perfect waves. Surfing is often just a vessel for the real meaning of a trip–sure, the waves are the reason for going, but there are much more important things than surfing.
In the film above, the Monsta Team headed to the Philippines in search of nothing more than a surf trip. What happened, though, was not at all what they expected.
It can be easy to forget the victims of a storm. Today’s news cycle moves quickly, after all, and too often, when the initial shock has worn off, those victims are all but forgotten about. Live Passionately is a reminder to all of us that we shouldn’t forget.
