Jamie O’Brien is a joy to watch at Pipeline. He surfs it like he grew up there. Which he did. All those years at the North Shore’s crown jewel means the man instinctively knows where to position himself in the lineup, which waves to pick, and generally how to avoid getting caught inside on big days. While you may have witnessed this before in past episodes Jamie puts out, watching him surf Pipeline on a 7’6″ Lopez is impressive – maybe because it’s one of his favorite boards in his vast quiver.
