A lot of the time, a good surf trip isn’t really about the waves. Sure, they’re the vessel for the trip, but the real meat on the pig comes from looking for those waves. It comes from all the things that happen in between waves, peering hopefully around the next headland, laughing around a fire, or just simply exploring somewhere new. Yeah, the waves are fun, but they’re fleeting. They’re the icing. Looking for them is the cake.
Ethan Ewing, Creed McTaggart, Kai Hing, Mega Artana, and Tai “Buddha” Graham headed out for a trip to find that icing, and the cake they found underneath was a good one.
