Spring can be an odd season for some surfers. Between the bitter cold of upwelling and the sometimes dreadfully slow flat spells, spring is like the awkward teenage phase season in the surf world. Not quite summer, but winter is forever gone. “Sometimes it’s hard to bear those small, cold, and windy days on end, but we are given what mother nature decides for us with each changing season. It is up to us to make the most of it,” according to the crew that put together Spring Harvest. Here’s Northern California’s Tyler Payne, making spring look pretty damn good.
