If the names escape you don’t fret. Ethan Ewing and Sheldon Simkus are on the up and up. Ethan may sound more familiar. He’s the 17-year-old phenom that went on a tear at this year’s Vans US Open, ultimately placing second to Filipe Toledo. Sheldon finds himself on the ‘QS at the moment as well, and it likely won’t be long until the stars align for him in a contest the same way they did for Ethan. Unlike the summer slop on offer at Huntington Beach where Ethan bested tour vets and even former champ Adriano de Souza, the rifling crystal clear tubes on offer in he and Sheldon’s West Oz strike mission were picturesque, heavy, and oh-so dreamy.
