After four years on the ‘QS I still compete today, but I spend more time at home doing European events, and of course trying to always find the best surf close by. In this clip I found some of those perfect barreling days, during the last two weeks when the conditions were pretty good and the waves were pumping between Ericeira and Nazaré, all before the WSL could get to Portugal and join the fun.
Portugal is a small country but there are a lot of different waves from north to south. It’s a really consistent place with surf all year. Almost every day has good conditions without having to drive far to find them, so for me it’s one of the best and most consistent places to surf.
