Next to having a fin go up your bum, this is one of the worst things that can happen to you when in the water. While surfing in the Australian Boardriders Battle, Wright went left on a wave at Alley Reef in Cronulla, Sydney. She ended up being washed up on to the rocks and into the tide pools where she received a hard, ruthless beating. You can see as she desperately tries to jump back into the ocean with her leash tangled in the pool barrier – only there was no ocean below her. Before being slammed into the tide pool barrier for a second time, Tyler jumped head first as the water sucked out and became dry reef. The first to her aid was her brother Owen Wright, who comforted her until she was rushed off in an ambulance as a precautionary measure. Still no word on the update of Tyler’s injury. But judging from the video, we expect to see Tyler come out of this with a few cuts and scratches. Get well, Tyler.
