You know that saying “don’t live to work, work to live”? Not a lot of people actually do that. For the most part, work takes up the vast majority of our lives, and that sucks. Unless you’re one of the lucky few who’s already getting paid to do what you love, you’re probably waking up each morning and dreading the day ahead. That day is spent waiting for clock-out time so you can get busy living–but then, by the end of the day, you’re too tired to actually live, so you sit down and stare mindlessly at a screen for a few hours before you go to bed. Then, before you fall asleep, you think about how you should be doing more fun things and promise yourself that tomorrow after work you will. But you don’t.
Volcom wants to change that. Just tell them what you want to be paid for. Whatever your passion is, they want to support it. Want to ride a bike around the world? Tell them. Want to train to surf Jaws? Tell them. Whatever it is, they might want to give you a paycheck for it. Sounds good, right?
