Wiggolly Dantas not only has one of the coolest names on tour, he’s also one of the most exciting rookies. With breakout results on the Gold Coast and in Fiji, the young Brazilian has proven himself as a viable world title candidate for the years to come. And even though he’s been a standout in particularly large, barreling surf, Wiggolly’s small wave game is also on point, which is why he shouldn’t be ruled out for the upcoming Lowers Pro.
A new edit from Quiksilver shows Wiggolly putting in some extra practice time at Trestles before the start of the competition window on September 9th. Like I said, Wiggolly primarily shines in big heaving surf, but if he can pull off a few waves like this in his heats, he could be a serious threat.
