Hailing from Tasmania, Marti Paradisis is no stranger to gnarly conditions. The brutal winds, cold water, and heavy surf are all things he grew up with. So it’s no surprise that he’d be one of the stand out guys at Tasmania’s premiere big wave spot, Shipstern Bluff.
His latest edit, a highlight reel of sorts from 2015, shows Marti pulling into some dredgy barrels. They’re much tinier than the usual heavy water we’re used to seeing him in, but nonetheless, they look damn fun like hollow perfection. He even throws in a high-flying punt to show his versatility. But then we follow Marti down to Shippies where he puts on a display of big wave paddle surfing. The guy is one of the best in the game, proving that time and time again, like that casual style while dropping into a monster barrel at the 1:06 mark. Calm. Cool. Effortless.
