Kiteboarder Andrei Grigoriev recently got the shock of his life when he bumped into a humpback whale. The Bay Area-resident was cruising near Crissy Field Beach last month when the mammal surfaced under his feet. The footage is from the camera mounted to his kite.
“I was going straight out from the beach when something touched my board from below,” Grigoriev told 9News in San Francisco. “For another 15 seconds, I had a feeling there was something around me, until the whale jumped out of the water right in front of me.”
