We’re only three months into 2017, and the video above is already being called (maybe) the best of the year. What makes a good surf edit, of course, is a matter of opinion. Some might focus on technical aspects – cinematography, soundtrack, hell, degrees of rotation or depth of tube rides. Others feel it in their gut. The way music makes you tap your feet, a solid edit makes you want to surf or book a ticket to Bali.
We’re not calling this the best edit of the year. Not yet at least. We’ll leave the voting to you. And anyway there’s nine months left to go. But we sure do like it. We think you will, too.
