It’s nice to go on a surf trip and score. But that excitement level doubles (triples even!) when the scoring occurs in an unlikely locale.
Italy’s known for a few things: fine wine, museums, pasta, and for producing ‘CT hopeful Leonardo Fioravanti. And Leo’s quest to make the dream tour is all the more inspiring precisely because the boot-shaped country’s coastline often receives less-than-stellar surf. But every so often the stars align, and conditions favor max shredding. At least that’s what happened for Marlon Lipke, Gony Zubizarreta, and Roberto D’Amico on their 3-day jaunt through Sardinia.
