In an epic drone view, Jamie Mitchell and Chapman Murphey carry out a synchronized double rag doll on a behemoth of a set down at Maverick’s last December. Both wipeouts were insanely brutal in their own right, but it’s difficult to say which surfer took the worst slam. Upon first inspection, Chapman Murphey (right) seemed to take the cake, as his unanticipated bail had him slam face first, in which he then proceeded to skip down the wave until the lip came smashing down on him. However, if you watch closely, you can see Jamie Mitchell (left) not able to penetrate the water enough to avoid being sucked over the falls, and, most likely, he was then pushed into a deep, dark cave. Who do you think had it worse?
