The amount of work that must’ve gone into this video is mind-boggling. An artist named Keith Skretch planed down a piece of wood, taking photographs after each pass. Then he strung the hundreds (if not thousands) of photos together, and created something incredible. Nature’s similarities are amazing – a piece of wood, normally thought of as static, reveals the grain of the wood moving around knots as it grew, uncannily resembling the way waves move around points and over reefs.
