My home, the Basque Country, has seen plenty of big swell lately. For some of it, I shot at a spot called Agiti where friend and surfer Axi Muniain was towed into huge waves. The Jet Ski drivers for both of these sessions are Ibon Ilarramendi “Koala” and Pablo Garcia. My editing partner on these projects is Unai Borda. Below is a clip of Axi surfing at Agiti, near San Sebastian, during the Hercules super swell.
Below is a clip from a new spot called Tximistarri, near San Sebastian, that was filmed during the Nadja storm swell. Unfortunately, Axi fell on the third wave and injured himself.
