There are no secret spots left. Decades of exploration and the advent of the internet have left every stretch of coastline effectively discovered. Which means the only thing left to do is to find new and unexpected frontiers.
At the forefront of that effort is Adrien Raza. The Dutch skimboarder has made a name for himself venturing further inland than his saltwater brethren, finding rippable spots deep in the urban environment. His videos find him pulling off stunts in fountains, pools and even puddles – basically anywhere there’s a couple of inches of still water. Sometimes he even eschews water altogether, like when he took a run at the legendary skate spot the Lyon 25 with nothing but a skimboard and an apparent death wish.
After a brief hiatus from publishing his unique edits, Raza is back. The second video since his return has him exploring the Dutch city of Amersfoort. There, he found what he called a “skimboarding heaven,” consisting of four spots along a water feature in the idyllic suburb.
