Been awhile since we deemed any riders (whatever the sport) as batshit crazy. But that while is no more — these Vertriders are batshit crazy. Don’t agree with us? Then agree with Brandberg/Namibia local and mountain guide Colin Uiseb, who offers his two cents on the descent: “You are the first people…I thought maybe you are crazy to hike up with bicycles — it is very funny for me.”
We’re with you, Colin. We’re with you one hundred percent. That Spitzkoppe line is not something to blink at, or blink doing.
All that being said, aside from the adrenaline rush, hard to argue with that Namibian night sky.
