Danny Way is not a surfer. He is, however, one of the best skateboarders that’s ever lived. As a guy that makes his living doing things that normal do in video games, Way’s figured out that tight-rope walk between fear and confidence better than almost anyone else. And while he’s not a surfer, much of what he says relates to surfing – especially when you’re dealing in the bigger stuff. Knowing when to pull back and when to commit is one of the most important things you can do on bigger waves, because committing to something that you should’ve pulled back on can have very real consequences.
