“As humans we’re made for adventure, for discovery, for new things.” – Benjamin Dowie
Walk the ridge. For at the end of the ridge, there is “a deep joy in your heart immersed with a beauty beyond words.”
Even when the pain of the climb or life is great, and turning around seems a good option…
…”keep going, one foot in front of the other”…
…”with an expectation that there is something amazing waiting for you at the top.”
More often than not there will be.
A tribute to filmmaker Benjamin Dowie, the short film is put together by a contemporary in Mathieu Le Lay; therefore, as one might expect, the respect is for shared passions and pursuits is clear and plentiful. And the Alps acted as a most beautiful, awe-inspiring backdrop — they would hike four peaks, including Mont Buet in front of the Mont-Blanc range.
In the end, their shared passions and pursuits comes down to one singular aspiration: to walk the ridge. So wherever you are, whatever you do, walk the ridge. You might like what you find.
