You’ve probably heard the news that Discovery Channel is pitting Michael Phelps against a great white shark. Not in a fist fight or a hot dog eating contest, but in a swimming race.
Phelps, of course, will not win. That’s because he tops out at about 6 miles an hour and a great white can swim up to twenty miles an hour. Still, though, everyone on earth is probably going to tune in, because, well… it’s Michael Phelps racing a great white shark. Now, there’s a trailer, and it is classic Shark Week.
“One trained to be the best since the day he was born” growls the narrator in a fantastic bit of hyperbole. “The other has been perfected by EVOLUTION.”
