The world is filled with a plethora of tandem activities. And tandem equipment is a byproduct of sharing such activities. Tandem surfing, tandem bicycles, tandem kayaking and tandem shopping cart racing are just a few of the more well known aspects of the tandem world. And it’s my theory that we’re all so enamored with those amazing tandem and group sports that we’ve completely ignored the most not genius evolution of them all: tandem freestyle skiing.
Jesper Tjäder and Øystein Bråten aren’t the first to lock in to a set of tandem skis, but they might be the first to give this tiny kickier a go. Solo backflips are cake, right? But sticking one tandem, now that’s something to strive for. And there really isn’t much else for me to add. Two dudes, two skis, and one backflip. It’s just like their friends say – it might be “the greatest stupidest idea I’ve heard in a long time.”
