Gravity is a very strange thing. We’re spinning around on a giant ball floating in the vastness of infinity, and we’re stuck to it–which is nice, considering what would happen if we weren’t. But everything changes in the ocean. Sure, gravity’s still a thing, but it’s a completely different beast.
French freedive god Guillaume Néry (you know he’s made it in the freedive world because his name is on his wetsuit) and a filmer named Julie Gautier paired up in French Polynesia to create the incredible weirdness that is the video above. Without the help of any special effects, Néry and Gautier made use of currents and a whole lot of breath holding and managed to make a video underwater that looks suspiciously like space.
