When Sweetgrass Productions lit up the night with LED lights as skiers charged powder, we wondered aloud, “is this going to be a thing?” Well, maybe it is: Torched is the creation of skier Nicolas Vuignier and filmmaker Jules Guarneri. Vuignier and friends attach rescue flares to their skis and hit the slopes near Valais, Switzerland during filming last year. “There were a lot of variables that made shooting this film complicated,” Vuignier told RT.com. “We had a pretty bad winter last year, that made the whole thing so much more complicated because we had the right snow conditions only two or three times per month – shooting in January and ending in late March.” The shoot came off pretty well, as you can see from the vid.
