Flat days — for all intents and purposes — mean no surf. After all, if waves and surf are intrinsically tied together, and flat implies no waves, then flat would also imply no surf. No more. Throw that mumbo jumbo out with the trash ’cause WaveJet has decided otherwise. With a personal water propulsion system, even the smallest swells will do. Heck, is there wake? Like from a boat? Go for it! And you get a handy control to strap onto your wrist and rev up. Need ideas on what to do? We caught up with WaveJet team riders Peter Mendia, Corey Lopez, and Shea Lopez who had ideas aplenty.
Peter was particularly stoked: “There is endless fun on a small to flat day. With the stand up sup fishing board, you can get to areas in an ocean or lake without wasting any energy to have a fun full day.”
Not much for small surf or *gasp* paddle boarding? Well, aside from the longboard and SUP choices, there’s a quiver of options from body boards to sticks and guns. And Garrett McNamara is stoked about them, so there’s that as well.
