It’d be hard to say we didn’t see this coming. Mostly because it’d be a lie. John John Florence, the 24-year-old Hawaiian phenomn, just claimed his first World Title and the MEO Portugal Pro Portugal after defeating Californian Conner Coffin in the final.
“My whole life has gone toward this,” said John John. “I can’t believe I’m the World Champion. That was my goal. This is my dream. I’m so stoked.”
With four finals’ appearances in 2016 and a renewed focus to competition after healing from an injury and releasing a momentous film project, things feel good in John John Florence’s camp right now.
