The Inertia

Kelly Slater leads a pretty decent life. Bouncing around from place to place, surfing the best waves in the world, and having a blast doing it ain’t a bad way to go through the motions. It’s sunsets like these that make us hate him a little bit for it, though. Slater posted this Tahitian sunset on his Instagram, and now we’ve got a few paper umbrellas in a mai tai with it on repeat and blown up on a big screen. Somehow, it’s just not the same.
“Messin’ w/#Timelapses in Tahiti this year,” he wrote. “#NotABadView from the place I stay in, eh? Didn’t realize how easy uploading photos to #GoProStudio was to make these little clips until recently. I’ve been sitting on about 30 timelapses I’ve shot. Apologies for lack of music. I’ll add some ukulele to the next one.”

Not a bad view is right, Kelly. And damn social media for letting you show it to us.

Jealous?
