Every year around this time, the surfing world turns its eyes to Hawaii. Sure, it’s always on the periphery, but now’s the time when that perfect little slice of surfing heaven really goes front and center. It doesn’t take much to get excited about the winter season on the North Shore, and good Lord, if this doesn’t turn the volume of your excitement up to ear-piercing levels, nothing will.
