The Inertia

Putting a new board through its paces is an incredible feeling. All the idiosyncrasies must be learned by the new operator. And it’s entirely likely it won’t feel so hot out of the gate, but, once understood, it becomes the go-to. Riding a new board on a user-friendly trunkable righthander is infinitely more pleasurable than a walled-out beachy or mush burger. And infinitely more pleasurable, still, is being the test pilot of a craft you built 100% by hand, and realizing not only that the thing properly floats you, but it’s actually really fun! All of those things Kenta Ishikawa does, with aplomb. Not to mention a few cheaters on a twinnie! Giddy up!
