Most of us are used to seeing endless photographic spreads of Hawaii’s famous North Shore. From macking outer reefs, to Waimea close-outs, to big and hollow Pipeline barrels, one small winter on the North Shore feeds photo editors at the magazines for rest of the year. But not many photographers get the chance to fly high above the action in a helicopter to document the waves from the sky. Here I’ve compiled a nice little set of images that are all taken from a different perspective, high up above the Seven Mile Miracle. Enjoy.
