In a stunt he dubbed the, “Human Arrow,” Jeb Corliss cut through a tiny target mounted on the Great Wall of China from 6,000 feet. Traveling 120 mph, Corliss jumped from a helicopter and cut through the bullseye wearing his black wingsuit. The stunt had to be postponed due to dangerous winds. The target was just feet off the deck so he had to cut through the banner then immediately position himself to release his chute what looks like just a 1,000 or so feet from his landing point.
Corliss has completed a number of hairy jumps around the world but always emphasizes his planning in order to minimize his risk. “I’m not about doing death-defying stuff anymore,” Corliss told NBC News. “That’s not the point.”
