Last week we revealed possibly the greatest interview surfing has ever seen in 11-year-old Sabre Norris, who was awarded a wildcard into the Sydney International Pro by Sally Fitzgibbons. In her bubbly, unfiltered interview with the crew from Australia’s Today Show, she forced the world to remember how good it feels like to be a kid.

“I’m goin’ GOOD!”

She also confessed that she wanted to use the $250 prize money (assuming she placed dead last…I like the way this kid thinks) from the contest to buy doughnuts. Something Sally Fitzgibbons, a bonafide health nut, might not endorse. Well, it turns out, a doughnut company (Sabre’s favorite: Donut Time) did the right thing and shipped her some tasty treats on the house. Turns out, there’s a dad tax on those delicious goods. Two disappeared over night. Daaaaaad!

But, hey, it’s nice to share. She learned a valuable lesson.

We’re looking forward to the next interview with rising surf star and doughnut kingpin Sabre Norris.
