I’ve always said that really great longboarding is the art making almost falling down look graceful. Sure, there’s a lot to be said for the people who are constantly in full control, but the ones dancing around on the nose and running back to the tail are the ones that are the greatest to watch. The ones who seem to be right on the cusp of falling off, but never actually do.
Josh Seeman is a perfect demonstration of that. He’s riding one of CJ Nelson’s designs, the Sprout, in Carlsbad, California. And although the waves are great, the surfing is beautiful.
