Noa Deane has the surfing world tied to his pinkie finger. When he releases an edit, the surfing world wants to watch it. If Kurt Cobain and Dane Reynolds had a baby, that baby would be Noa. Remember Head Noise? It was released in August of 2018, and it was somethin’ else. No interviews, no stories, just 15 minutes of surfing at a level so far beyond pretty much anyone else.
Well, now we’ve got Deane’s latest offering: RU.BU 994. Filmed by Mikey Mallalieu, it’s in the same vein as Head Noise. Just surfing. Really, really good surfing. Surfing at a level that no one else is on. Surfing in a way that Noa Deane does best. Aerial surfing par excellence and a kind of head-down charge-anything mentality that we all wish we had a little more of.
