It’s the great irony of the modern era that while people are more connected now than ever before, they’re also increasingly lonely and feeling disconnected. It would be a bit self-righteous to think that surfing is the cure-all for loneliness – hell, you can even feel lonely in paradise. That this video and subsequent post live on the internet isn’t an irony that’s lost on us. But, at the very least it serves as a bit of encouragement to text a friend and ask them to head out for a surf in the morning. Or, attempt to make conversation with your cab driver on your next surf trip. The little things, right?
