The Inertia

Surfing is fun. But there aren’t always waves to surf. That’s where foiling comes in. And that’s where wing foiling comes in, too. What is wing foiling, you might ask? Well, wings are a fairly new device, somewhere between a kite and a windsurfer. They’re easy to launch, easy to use anywhere, from small rivers to giant oceans, and they’re a helluva lot of fun (see more, here).

John John Florence and Nathan Florence know this. That’s why they’re working on learning to wing foil, as you can see above. With minimal surf on the horizon, Nathan also takes a trip over to see his good friend Kai Lenny on Maui, where he and Kai do a downwind foil run on the famous Maliko run. Nathan and John John are good at everything they do in the water. But mostly, they’re just good at having fun.
