When Uluwatu turns on, it’s a sight to behold. It’s one of the world’s most famous waves for a reason: it is just about as perfect as a wave can get. There are, of course, those huge days when Outside Corner and the Bombie are working, but those are relatively few and far between. Even when the swell’s not massive, though, Uluwatu can get proper-sized, and on May 15, it certainly was that.
The lineup on that particular day was filled with both pros and joes. The pros included Italo Ferreira and Kanoa Igarashi, to name a few, and judging from this footage, it appears that Bali’s west coast is gearing up for a good season.
