If you surf for long enough, you’re going to get burned. You’re probably also going to burn someone, and hopefully it’s by accident. But burning Kelly Slater… well, that’s not likely going to happen. Unless you’re the guy on the first wave in the video above.
In fairness, the burner likely didn’t think that Slater (we’re relatively sure he didn’t know it was Slater) made the section. But both the burner and the burnee were able to get a few quick turns off before hitting the eject button, and no one was worse for wear.
