Mason Ho has proven time and time again that he is not afraid of a few rocks. It’s a good way to escape the crowds that plague the North Shore for a few months each winter, but one would imagine that dodging rocks all the time is not something that Mason prefers. So when one of the spots that’s generally a boulder field filled up with sand, he, along with a bunch of other insanely talented surfers, were out there.
In the last little while, Oahu’s North Shore has received a couple of swells from the northeast. That drags sand all over the place and changes the way things work.
“This particular surf spot is usually loaded with rocks so to have it filled with sand and break like this is rare,” Mason wrote.
