It’s been two days since the waiting period window for the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal opened up. A few days prior, a swell hit Supertubos that was, to put it mildly, very big. A handful of CT surfers were there in time to surf it, but some of them were likely still on their way. Now, the surfers are raring to get going.
And while they’re raring, they’re making sure that they’re not getting rusty. Gabriel Medina, John John Florence, Kelly Slater, Nat Young, Griffin Colapinto, Maxime Huscenot, Kolohe Andino, Leonardo Fioravanti, and Carlos Munoz showed up in Peniche to prepare themselves, and the WSL folks threw together a little reel that shows how they do it.
