From around April to October, Indonesia sits in a dry season. Offshores pick up and swells get more and more consistent. Traveling surfers book their flights and rooms in that window, hoping they land when the waves are firing. The lineups get more and more crowded. But since seasons aren’t an exact science, the shoulder seasons can still be really, really good — and they have the added benefit of less people in the lineup.
As the dry season was just waking up, a great looking forecast appeared on the charts a little earlier than anyone expected. It was a perfect direction for HT’s, so a couple of guys who work at the resort called up Oscar Langburne and Beau Cram to let them know that maybe they ought to think about pulling the trigger on a plane ticket. After watching the latest YouTube offering from Onboard Store (above), they clearly made the right decision.
