For the most part, the holidays are not about getting outdoors. If that’s not the case for you and yours, we salute you! But for most of us, the holidays mean gathering with loved ones, away from the inclement weather, and hopefully by a fire.

However, the holidays also mean gift-giving, and for our gear editors, this is often the time of year when they get bombarded with texts about gift recommendations. So they wrote this article, as well as a couple of others, and if you’re here, that means you could probably use some advice as well.

Read on for some top-pick gifts that are sure to please the outdoors-lover in your life.
