The Inertia

Nate Florence is not a homebody. He would be forgiven if he was — his home is pretty damn decent — but he likes to head out into the wild blue yonder and look. Look for waves, look for adventure, look for looking’s sake. The search, right? He spent the last little while traipsing around in a sailboat on that search, and his latest YouTube offering is a glimpse into what they were searching for. It was nothing in particular — or maybe everything. And they found it, whatever it was.

From un-surfed waves to hectic weather and flipped dinghies, they experienced life, in all its glorious discomforts. Surf trips, especially like the one you see here, aren’t always about scoring good waves. Those are just the cherry on top of a fantastic cake. It’s all the stuff in between waves that makes a great surf trip, and there was a whole lot of cake to be had.
