The Inertia

Mullaghmore is an absolutely terrifying wave. When it gets big, it’s one of the scariest on Earth, and recently it got BIG. The largest swell in half a decade rolled into the Irish coastline on December 18, and those in the know made sure they were there.

“Many big wave pros turned up to charge the insane waves,” wrote Global Zoo, “including Nic von Rupp, Conor Maguire, Gearoid Mcdaid, Andrew Cotton, Mason Barnes, Justine Dupont, Natxo Gonzalez, Tom Lowe, and more.”

Of course, as with any big wave spot, a huge swell is not the only thing needed. Many stars must align for things to work out, and in this case, those stars lined up.
