Kelly Slater on Ultimate Human podcast

Kelly Slater has opinions about things. Opinions and experiences, the latter of which are extraordinarily interesting. Photo: YouTube//Screenshot

The Inertia

Kelly Slater is the most dominant surfer ever. He’s got 11 world titles and just about every other award there is in surfing. He was the youngest (for a while, anyway) and the oldest to win a world title. He is the G.O.A.T. But one does not become a G.O.A.T. simply by messing around in the ocean. And Kelly Slater does not mess around.

In a recent episode of the Ultimate Human Podcast with Gary Brecka, Slater sat down to talk about what he does, and has done, to keep himself in fighting shape for three decades of surfing dominance.

Slater has long been outspoken about things, from vaccines to flat earth conspiracy theories. He’s not shy to put his opinion out there. Aside from his conditioning and what he does to stay healthy, the conversation delved into judging, rivalries, injuries, future plans, and much, much more. It’s an hour-and-a-half long, but it’s worth the listen, even if you might not necessarily agree with some of what Slater says.
