At first glance, Quincy Symonds is just an average 6-year-old from the Gold Coast of Australia. She enjoys playing soccer, football, rugby, Xbox, and ping pong. Nothing out of the ordinary here, right? Well, not exactly. You put Quincy anywhere near the ocean or a skatepark and you will soon find out Quincy is an extremely gifted surfer and skater. So good that she is considered one of the best 6-year-old surfer-skaters in the world, if not the best.
But that’s not all that makes her unique. Quincy was born with several complications that had her in intensive care units for the first two and a half years of her life. She is stable today, but Quincy is still steroid-dependent and is closely monitored by a team of doctors. Despite her condition, Quincy is straight ripping. She is one of the most surf-stoked groms out there, and it’s so wonderful to see the amazing support group helping her do the things she loves most.
